Apprentice Life, India

 

Tiffani experienced Tibetan Sacred Arts, Thangka painting, for the first time in Mongolia, 2000. In 2003 she started her studies at the Norbulingka Institute, in Dharamsala, India 'till 2006. Her main teachers there were Guen Tempha Chopel and Sonam Tsering.

 

End of 2007 she started the long term project of painting the Caminho do Meio Temple in South Brazil, completed at the end of 2012. In 2010 she went back to India for a few months and met with the Thangka artist Karma Sichoe with whom she continued learning.

 

Thangka Painting is an extensive art, rich in symbology and meanings. Deities are learned each with its specific proportions and its colors. A Thangka artist is always learning.
